    This is a 3/16" thick steel cross member re-enforcement plate to "cap" the factory rear frame cross member on a Jeep TJ, LJ or YJ.

    It is designed to beef-up your existing rear frame member AND rear most body mounts. It can also be used as a hi clearance bumper by itself (as we do on our swing down tire carriers) or a re-enforcement under any rear bumper.

    As you can see in the pictures, you remove the rear most body mounts and install the plate then slip them back in place.

We’ve installed hundreds of our center frame repair kits and most all of the skid plates were rusted and deteriorated where they are bolted to the frame, making it impossible to remount, but the skid plates are usually in good shape other than that.     Wranglers have rubber body mounts that help isolate road noises, chassis flex and vibrations from reaching the driver. We have found these rubber mounts contribute to the rust formation on top of the steel frame to body mount. Once the rust permeates the top of the mount, it remains hidden until the major damage is done. Our frame mounts are 11 gauge steel, just like the factory, and fit as direct replacements.     Have you noticed the rust on the top of your frame where the upper shock mounts are? Dirt and debris gets trapped there, rusts out the steel and then allows the shock mount to tear away from the frame. This cap kit fixes the problem.     Fits 1987-95 Wrangler YJ. On YJs there is a factory body mount right above the frame at the forward rear leaf spring mounting point. The rubber bushing gets old and cracks, attracting moisture, dirt… and rust. Frame deterioration is a very common problem in this critical suspension mounting point. This unit includes the frame mount and the spring shackle mount. You will need to buy new leaf spring mount bushings for best results. Cut out the old mount, cover with the cap and weld in place and you're back on the road without a full frame replacement.

    Our frame repair kit is designed to slip over your frame where the frame rail meets the rear cross member. The frame cap also provides a new cross tube for remounting the rear spring shackle. The cap is approximately 20" long and is fabricated from 11 gauge cold rolled steel, CNC cut and MIG welded in our USA factory.     For 1987-95 Wrangler YJ. The front frame rails at the shackle mounts start rusting from the inside out. Rust and constant pressure from the steering box unit can create fatigue in the metal, leading to stress cracks that can cause the steering to fail. These rusted out areas create an extremely unsafe condition and often lead to state safety inspection failures. Our kits are a direct replacement. The left (steering) side has frame with steering box mount and shackle mount, the right side is frame and shackle mount only. You will need to buy new leaf spring mount bushings for best results. ART-102 instruction sheet included with package.

    The ART-99 repairs the center frame where the transmission skid plate mounts to the frame, and the kit is approximately 30″ in length. Included with the kit are 3 new (1/2″ x 1.5″) gr8 hex cap screw for remounting your skid plate. The skid plate mounting nuts are pre welded to the frame kit for easy installation. The frame kit is notched to tightly fit around the center body mount so there is no need to remove it and reattach it once the kit is installed, saving you a lot of time. Lastly, the e-brake cable runs directly through the frame in this area, this kit is also notched to slip right around it.

    The ART-136 is a replacement for the OEM rear track bar bracket on the Jeep Wrangler TJ. The bracket is made from 7 gauge HRPO steel, CNC cut, bent and MIG welded in the USA facility. The hardware to remount the track bar is included with the bracket. To install this part you will need to disconnect the track bar and you simply cut off the old mount and weld the new mount in the footprint of the old mount.

    The ART-146 is a replacement for the OEM track bar and upper trailing arm bracket mounted on the rear axle. This mount was developed to fit a 2.75 diameter axle, but will work on  larger diameter axles. The bracket straddles the sway bar bracket which remains in place during installation. The ART-146 is welded directly to the axle once the old bracket is removed and the surface to be welded is prepared. Our ART-146 bracket is made from 7 gauge HRPO steel, CNC cut, bent, and MIG welded by our certified welders in the USA. We’ve provided a high grade m12-1.75 x 80mm hex cap screw for the track bar and the m12-1.75 nut is welded to the kit for easy installation. We also provided a high grade m10-1.5 x 75mm hex cap screw and nut to install the upper trailing arm.

    This front steering box mount is designed as an OEM replacement. The mount is made from 11 gauge cold rolled steel and comes with two (1/2 id x 3.75″ x .120″) crush tubes,  similar to the original. Our steering box mount also includes a signature drain hole. The ART-135 is CNC cut, bent and MIG welded in our USA facility.

    This part will be installed by welding it to the frame in the footprint of the original after the old mount has been removed and frame ground down to clean metal.

    This is the area in front of the rear tire.  The upper and lower trailing arm mounts are both attached to this area.  In order to reach the fastening hardware for the upper trailing arm mount, the factory put an access hole in the frame.  Consequently, this introduced an area for large quantities of dirt, mud, road salt and moisture to enter the frame.  Because there were no coinciding drain holes installed, everything collects inside, and creates a rust out condition, from the inside out.  Because the upper trailing arm mount is located on the inside of the frame rail, it’s very difficult to see the corrosive process, before it’s too late.  We also added a large drain hole, to help prevent a repeat problem in the future.  Also, we’ve included new high grade upper and lower trailing arm mounting hardware to make your installation easier.

    This kit repairs the TJ full center frame from the front body mount to approximately 1 inch before the rear coil spring plate. The frame cap is made from 11 gauge cold rolled steel and has four new transmission skid plate weld nuts for remounting the skid plate after the frame kit is installed. Factory welded to the ART-131-4 frame component are the upper and lower trailing arm mounts and the rear axle sway bar mount bracket. The upper and lower trailing arm mounts are made from 7 gauge hot rolled steel, and the sway bar mount is made from 11 gauge cold rolled steel. The sway bar mount and the upper trailing arm mount have factory installed weld nuts.

    The ART-129 repairs the frame of the TJ Wrangler where the front lower trailing arm mount, the upper trailing arm mount and motor mount are located. The ART-129-R kit is approximately 16″ long with 3-3/8″ side walls and is designed to cap over the existing frame. The kit begins 8″ forward of the front lower trailing arm mount and ends right before the front body mount. This frame repair kit comes with new upper and lower trailing arm mounts, an (m10-1.5 x 75mm) bolt with weld nut to mount the upper trailing arm mount, and an (m14-2.0 x 100mm) bolt with nyloc nut remount the lower trailing arm.

    The ART-129 fits on both 4 cyl and 6 cyl model TJ and LJ model Jeep Wrangler’s.

    This frame repair kit is a shorter version of our ART-145. It was designed as a faster, easier, and more cost effective solution for your rusted, damaged floor support/torque box. This frame kit repairs the 2 rear body mounts on the side floor support/torque boxes. They’re made from 13 gauge American steel, and are CNC cut and bent for a perfect fit every time. The frame kit is designed to cap the existing floor support/torque box after the body mounts are cut back.  This frame kit comes with new high grade body mount bolts, and weld nuts installed by our certified welders. As with all of these frame repair kits, we cut drain holes to prevent a repeat problem.

    This kit repairs the Jeep TJ Wrangler center frame section between the front and rear lower control  arm mount brackets where the skid plate bolts up to the frame. The ART-113-4 is 41" long and is CNC cut and MIG welded by our certified welders at our USA factory. The kit is designed to fit over your existing frame after the rusted portion is removed. The repair is then welded onto the frame to make your Jeep safe again. The ART-113-4 is notched to go around the existing body mounts and comes with four skid plate mounting bolts and welded nuts. The ART-113-4 fits all TJ models between 2003-2006.

    Wranglers have weld-nuts inside the frame rails that secure the transfer case skid plate in place. The skid plate also is the transmission and transfer case mount. Typically the bolts are a problem to remove due to rust on the inside of the frame rail. When this happens, access holes are often cut unto the side to facilitate removal of these bolts. This method gives access to dirt and water, which can collect inside the rails and rust them from the inside out. This Safe-T-Cap kit is a full length repair, it runs from trailing arm mount to trailing arm mount, and is approximately 41" length. Pick from left side, right side or both.

    We have now made these for more than 8 years and there are over 1,000 pairs in use! Perfect for a Crawler or Jeepspeed! This is our version of the Cherokee Unirail Reinforcement plates.

    They are certainly as well made as any of the rest but have some very definite improvements to boot! Where the others stop the Cap at the floor creating a very long stress riser on the very weak floorboards, ours continue 1" onto the floor itself. Spreading out the load further and increasing the lifespan of the body.

    Another of the unique way these are made is the front and rear risers follow the Unirail into the wheelwells. The rear doesn't need too much but the front goes up 9" into the front fender at the angle of the rail after it turns into the well.

    When you install these it is the perfect time to create your own longarm kit and we have the brackets for it! If you are sticking with stock, either cutoff the leading 9" or remove and replace your link bracket after you install the rails. The last thing these do that others have chosen to ignore is make adding a skidplate easy. Weld the flat area around the crossmember and then use a jack to custom fit the bends. They are 3/16" thick and come as a pair.

We have found that the frame starts to rust from the inside out, and
    can create an unsafe condition. Once the rust process starts, there isn’t much that can be done except to cut the rust away, and then install the cap repair kit.  This kit includes new mounting points and hardware for the skid plate, as well as the upper and lower rear control arm mounts. We include new control arm hardware for you.
